This week sees the two year anniversary of the 'War on Gaza.' A lot has happened since the Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip. The blockade and siege of a 360 squared km strip of land was highlighted and brought to the World's attention. Let us not forget the raid of the Mavi Marmara, the Gaza bound aid ship.
"Hospitals and primary care facilities, damaged during operation ‘Cast Lead’, have not been rebuilt because construction materials are not allowed into Gaza. Operation ‘Cast Lead’ damaged 15 of Gaza’s 27 hospitals and 43 of its 110 primary health care facilities were either damaged or destroyed"- Report by UN Humanitarian Coordinator and Association of International Development Agencies (AIDA). Published in the December of last year.
